It is a structured and persistent wine, with an intense ruby red colour. The aging of 70% in Steel and 30% in barrique make it, as well as its history, an interesting wine. This wine was created in memory of 29 October 1949. The day of the Massacre of Fragalà, in which the farmers of Melissa, occupied the uncultivated lands in the area of Fragalà to request strongly the respect for the measures issued after the post-war period. During the occupation, three people lost their lives and seventeen others were injured. Melissa represents the symbol of the fighting will, and the ancient aspiration to justice of the poor classes of the South. We are proud to dedicate our wine to an event that captured national and international attention and that forever changed the future of Melissa. This wine was awarded with TWO GLASSES by the Gambero Rosso Italian Wine
Guide 2023 and has won several international awards.
